Tuesday
6pm and 7pm
Two back to back beginner hours, so you can come straight from work or go home first.
Beginners
The beginner class is where almost everyone starts, including people who have never done any martial art. One technique per class, drilled slowly, with questions at the end.
You are not put into sparring on your first day. When you do start, it is with an experienced partner who controls the pace.

When beginner classes run
Tuesday
Two back to back beginner hours, so you can come straight from work or go home first.
Friday
The same pair of beginner hours to end the working week.
Sunday
A midday weekend class, the easiest one to make if evenings do not work.
Also open to you
Beginners are welcome on Wednesday at 7pm and Saturday at 1pm too. See how those run.
Beginner questions
No. No experience is required and most people who walk in have never trained a martial art before. Classes welcome every level and instruction is adjusted to your background and learning pace.
You warm up with the group, learn a technique broken down step by step, drill it with a partner at your own pace, then finish with a question and answer session. Nothing is compulsory and you can sit out any drill. The trial class is $30.
Bring a clean set of athletic wear to change into, ideally a rash guard or fitted t-shirt and shorts without zips or pockets. Outside clothes are not allowed on the mats, which keeps the environment hygienic and prevents skin infections. You do not need a gi, every session here is no-gi.
One class, $30, no membership and no pressure. Message us and we will tell you which class to come to.
